En el marco de la exposición El Llamado de la Montaña, que conmemora los 100 años del Club Alemán Andino Santiago / DAV, el próximo jueves 27 de junio, a las 18h30 se estrena el documental Leyendas del DAV: Albrecht Maass & Eberhard Meier, en el teatro del Centro Cultural las Condes.
Este documental, es una reedición actual de los dos diapo-documentales realizados en 2020 y 2021 por su director Philippe Boisier, en el marco de los Diaporamas Online que ofreció el DAV durante la pandemia.
Este se centra en dos montañistas iconos del DAV. Albrecht Maass estuvo en Chile entre 1925 y 1933, realizando un sinnúmero expediciones icónicas, como el 1er ascenso al Marmolejo, Mesón Alto o San Francisco. Fotógrafo y escritor, dejó casi todas sus expediciones importantes bien documentadas y publicadas, tanto en Chile como en Argentina y Alemania. Eberhard Meier por su parte, llega a Chile en 1940, y hasta su trágica muerte en 1964, se convirtió en un icono del andinismo en chile, realizado más de 16 primeros ascensos y muchas expediciones icónicas, como la del Aconcagua en 1952 por la ruta de Güssfeldt.
El documental cuenta con la participación de los montañistas Álvaro Vivanco y Enrique “Heini” Schneider, en una de sus últimas entrevistas que alcanzó a dar en vida.

As part of the exhibition The Call of the Mountain, which commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Club Alemán Andino Santiago / DAV, the documentary Legends of the DAV: Albrecht Maass & Eberhard Meier will premiere next Thursday, June 27, at 6:30 pm, at the theater of the Centro Cultural Las Condes.
This documentary, is a current re-edition of the two slideshows made in 2020 and 2021 by its director Philippe Boisier, in the framework of the Online Slideshows offered by the DAV during the pandemic.
This one focuses on two iconic DAV mountaineers. Albrecht Maass was in Chile between 1925 and 1933, making countless iconic expeditions, such as the 1st ascent of Marmolejo, Mesón Alto or San Francisco. Photographer and writer, he left almost all his important expeditions well documented and published, both in Chile and in Argentina and Germany. Eberhard Meier arrived in Chile in 1940, and until his tragic death in 1964, he became an icon of mountaineering in Chile, making more than 16 first ascents and many iconic expeditions, such as that of Aconcagua in 1952 by the Güssfeldt route.
